Forbes Group has a long history in Russia and the former USSR. In the mid-eighties, the USSR Ministry of Fisheries invited our company into a joint venture to create a fishing project and Analog seafood products processing plant. This project proceeded to construction and commenced operations until the collapse of the USSR in 1991.

Additionally during this period, our experience doing business in the USSR led us to address the need for improved telecommunications systems. We obtained certification for a digital telephone switching platform within the country, and developed opportunities for network infrastructure projects in various areas of the former USSR, including the Baltic Sea resort town of Soshi and, in the far north, the Komi Republic.

Presently, AO Forbes House is located in Moscow. With Russia's economy now stabilizing, our primary business is brokering international trade opportunities between Russia and our other client countries.
