Lucien Forbes
Mr. Forbes has carved a distinguished career in the USA and abroad as an international financier and developer having founded and operated a number of highly successful ventures around the globe with particular emphasis in marine fisheries and analog food processing, export marketing, financial and technical consultation, agro-industrial development, and state of the art technology. As an international sugar broker, Mr. Forbes has worked extensively in the Brazilian market and used his sugar industry knowledge along with his observations of the strengths and weaknesses of the Brazilian ethanol model to develop plans for a cutting edge ethanol facility in the Dominican Republic.
David Considine
David Considine, CPA has been with the Forbes Group since 1993. With a long career both in public accounting and in corporate finance, he is a specialist in mergers, acquisitions and contract negotiations. He travels frequently for Forbes Group, negotiating agreements for their various companies with international banks, government agencies and joint venture partners. As Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Considine manages all financial, accounting, and treasury activity, as well as stockholder relations and risk management.
Robert Smith
Robert W. Smith, a highly experienced civil trial attorney, has been practicing law since 1977. Mr. Smith, a senior partner with Armstrong Gibbons & Gnys LLP, a Providence R.I. based firm, has successfully tried approximately 80 cases to juries in both State and Federal Courts in Rhode Island and in Massachusetts. He has litigated many commercial matters involving contractual and tort based disputes among various business entities and also specializes in insurance and coverage matters, premises liability and numerous other business conflicts and disputes. He also has extensive experience advising business clients regarding corporate governance and risk management matters. Mr. Smith received his Juris Doctor degree from Franklin Pierce Law Center and his Undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Bryant College.
Carlos Riveros
Carlos Eduardo Riveros, a native of Chile, is a former university professor and one of the pioneers of the Chilean internet. As a civil engineer and project evaluator, he has worked with some of the most important companies in Chile, such as the oil refinery in Con-Con, Telefonos de Chile, the Codelco Chuquicamata Mine, the Regional government of Valparaiso, the Chilean Navy, and as a consultant in 1998 to the National Congress among others. His construction experience includes the extension and amplification of the telephone system in the IV, V and VII Regions of Chile, the construction of 26 gas distribution centers, installation of automatic flow-valves for the oil refinery Refineria Petroleos Chile, building of the telecommunications system for the First Naval Zone, and engineering over 825,000m2 of construction of low-cost housing for the City of Valparaiso. Mr. Riveros currently resides in the Dominican Republic where he has represented the Forbes Group since 2002 and has been the Country Manager of Forbes Energy Dominicana since 2005.
Jose Borges de Campos
Mr. Jose Borges de Campos, International Vice President of the Forbes Group, has represented the Company in South America and the Caribbean Basin since 1982. Prior to joining the Company, he developed residential housing and founded the first ethanol plant in Catanduva, Brazil. He is currently sourcing ethanol and ethanol manufacturing equipment in Brazil for the Company's developments in the Dominican Republic.
Juan Antonio Llamacho Olmo
Mr. Juan Antonio Llamacho Olmo is a licensed engineer specializing in the management of Bio-Diversity, Environmental and Taxonomical Botany. He holds a Masters Degree as an Engineer of Agronomy. He has extensive experience in the applied science of the cultivation and protection of natural resources, especially in the area of hybridizing and ordering of sugar cane plantations. In addition to lecturing extensively at technical seminars, he is the author of several scientific papers.
Matthew Smith
Matthew E. Smith, is an attorney for Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge LLP, a New England based firm with more than ten offices in seven states and one office in London. Mr. Smith has experience in structuring private equity stock and asset purchase deals, as well as a background in venture capital financing and start-up company guidance. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Notre Dame, in South Bend, IN.
