Nigeria is Africa's most populous country, with a sustainable economy and planning in place for significant economic growth. Forbes Group has a representative office in the capital city, Lagos, and in the port city of Calabar, which is the site of the country's Export Processing Zone (EPZ) . We have been granted a provisional license to operate a financial services company within the EPZ. Currently under negotiation are port and wireless telecommunication ventures, as well as development opportunities in the EPZ which include computer fabrication.

As Nigeria's economy grows, we are working with their government as well as that of Russia to foster trade opportunities between the two countries.

Forbes Group history in Sub-Sahara Africa included a project in Kenya in which we operated a sixteen vessel fishing fleet and freezer/processing plant in joint venture with the Kenyan government, withdrawing from the project when foreigners became ineligible to own and operate a fleet of vessels.
