Morocco, including Western Sahara, boasts an Atlantic coastline longer than that of the United States. It is also blessed with some of the richest fishing grounds in the world. Since 1985, we have maintained a representative office in Casablanca whose purpose is to engage in the fishing business. At that time our company was granted fishing and other licenses by King Hassan II.

Because of our experience and contacts, Forbes Group has been invited to develop our prototype integrated fishing port in the two coastal cities of Laayoun and Ad Dakhla. As in many coastal cities, fishermen continue to bring fish ashore in baskets as they have done for millennia. Much of the catch is lost. By providing a pier and freezer/fish processing plant on the waterfront, 100% of the catch is utilized and the fishermen's income increases exponentially, as does the country's wealth. A more abundant, high-protein food is then available for the country's growing population.
