The Islamic Republic of Comoros is an island nation located off the east coast of Africa in the Indian Ocean. Because of our successful venture in Vladivostok, the Forbes Group signed an agreement in 1996 to develop a fishing port and telecommunications facility on the capital island of Anjouan. For political reasons, this project was delayed and then postponed. With new political stability, and at the renewed invitation of the national government, the Forbes Port and Forbes IT project has now been reinstated, effective 2001.

Plans are moving forward to complete this installation for the people of the Comoros Islands. Our project will bring an appropriately designed modern fishing port and processing facility to the region. It will create a wireless local telephone and computer network for enhanced communications and trade among the islands and their neighboring countries.
