In the resource-rich country of Brasil, Forbes House SA maintains an office in Sao Paulo. Our long-time representative there, Sr. Jose Borges de Campos, oversees the Forbes House activities which include on-going brokering of international trade ventures among our client countries. A number of port and telecommunications opportunities in Latin America are currently being pursued with the assistance of our Sao Paulo office team.

Forbes Group history in Latin America includes a period of merchant banking, investment and development from Montevideo, Uruguay in the late 70's. This led to fisheries development and export projects in Argentina, Brasil, Chile and Panama. In Brasil, the company originally operated a sixteen-vessel fishing fleet and processing plant at the mouth of the Amazon River. Once successful, the fleet and plant were sold to the Brasilian government.
